Free Motion Quilting
Here is the back of the latest quilt with free-motion daisies on it. Summer (granddaughter) did the bottom three rows and I did the top part. I think I should have made her stay overnight and finish the whole quilt. I like hers much better than mine. So what if she missed school today. It's all about quilting, right Summer!
She also made a couple of circular blocks similar to what I've been using in my wall hangings. They will appear soon in a new piece. They are in the studio so pictures of them will have to wait until tomorrow.

So Summer takes after her grandma, that's terrific! I'll have to try making free motion flowers too.
Can't wait to see what else the tow of you come up with :^)
Kids don't have the fear of "did I do it right", they just relax and go with the flow.
Wow, great job, Summer! She's lucky to have a grandma who encourages her like this.
Looks great . . . . how wonderful to have a granddaughter anxious to play along in quilting *s*
It's great to see next generation taking an interest in our hobby..lol... this might catch on..and she did a great job , she has a wonderful teacher...happy stitching Lise
Well done Summer. It looks great. good on you Joyce to show her the ropes. Its great to get them started early. She might take over????
You are a wonderful grandmother to treat Summer to your art form! She will treasure these memories for the rest of her life!

I bet Summer may be spending a lot of her free time behind the *wheel* of a super sporty quilting machine! ;-) What fun for the two of you to share!
