Is It Done?

Today I quilted and backed the depression wall hanging. I'm not sure if it's done though. Right now I have one single teardrop shaped bead on it. I can't decide if that is enough or if I should embellish it to death like I usually do.

This is a closeup of the stitching in the middle over the colored bits.

Just to lighten up, I started a happy one to show what happens when you get to the end of the tunnel. I thought of having them as a set and calling the other one Down and this one Out.

Down and Out. Nice.

I like the simplicity of the one teardrop.

I agree with Janet. It looks perfect with minimal embellishments.

I don't think depression would be embellished.

Interesting piece. I made something somewhat similar a couple of years ago. I gave it to my son because he liked it, and I'm now thinking of making another for Alz Quilts.

I like the companion one too. Now that you can aembellish!

Great contrasts between both pieces. Very effective as a set.

Wow! Your depression wall quilt looks a lot less dark than the other day's photo. Looking good, and yup, I agree that the one tear drop is enough...
Out is cheery all right! 8-)

One teardrop seems to suit the theme best, and the titles are super.

I love the encrusting of threadwork in the central circle. It's embellished without looking glitzy. And for me, it notes the heaviness of depression...yet we often try to disguise it or make it blend into our life. A touching piece, Joyce. Well done.
