Just Jamming

I did a bit of work on the Gold Leaf piece but somehow I couldn't get into it today. So I thought, if musicians can jam, why can't quilters?

This is the result. I just took some fabric and added strips. Then I put the stripy green piece on top of a brown piece the same size and started whacking and exchanging strips of green with strips of brown. I'm thinking it might be fun to do some stamping on it now. And maybe add some beads....

This is the kind of stuff that I love! Looks great!

Hey, they both look great! For some reason the second piece really has a lot of depth. I think you are on to something here:)

GREAT idea and such fun results! I wonder..did you have music going in the background as you jammed? And, if so, what kind?

Like the first one much better now! and the second one is fun and free! interesting how the same technique produces such different pieces--never ending ideas.

That looks like fun! :) I love taking a break for little creative projects--bags, whimsies, etc. It makes tackling the big projects easier.

Love the result of your "jam" session. Its jive and jumping.
