These pages are from the Chinese books I mentioned yesterday. They could be the inspiration for my next quilt. I especially like the city on the right. Maybe my checkerboard fabric will get used soon. I think it would look great around something like this.

Isn't it intiguing when one form of art crosses over onto another? What a terrific book to have in your library!
LOVE YOUR VILLAGE down on the previous posts! Wow!!!
That city would look great in fabric! The quilt you showed in your previous posts looks pretty darned good, too! I'm hoping to get back in the sewing room soon.....but can't til we get the power restored in our town. ***sigh
Beautiful pictures...great inspiration!

"They could be the inspiration for my next quilt."
Hmmm. Can't help thinking: chicken or egg? Looks to me like the artist got HIS/HER inspiration from your quilts!
I like your blog. It's so lovely your village. I'm italian. Ciao
I must have missed yesterday's post! I love the progress of the Village, & it is all looking so great.
Those Chinese pics are wonderful inspiration for another quilt.
WOW!
Finally a chance to catch up on blog reading and I have to agree, I love that city on the right hand side of the page. It would look fabulous translated to fabric in hand dyes...
The village is a magnificent piece of work Joyce. I like the picture on the left of your book - it looks like night-time. The colours are fantastic. So vibrant. I miss doing my cross stitch but I seem to be able only to keep up with one hobby at the moment!
Your village is very fine. Now I'm curious to see the nexi.ciao ciao
ops. the next no the nexi ciao ciao
WOW!!!!!! I seemed to have lost you for awhile. You have been busy. I like your quilt. Very charming. The fire in the snow reminds me of when I was a kid. We would make a big fire, sled, and have a winner roast along with hot chocolate. What great memories.
