Inspiration

These pages are from the Chinese books I mentioned yesterday. They could be the inspiration for my next quilt. I especially like the city on the right. Maybe my checkerboard fabric will get used soon. I think it would look great around something like this.

Isn't it intiguing when one form of art crosses over onto another? What a terrific book to have in your library!

LOVE YOUR VILLAGE down on the previous posts! Wow!!!

Hmmm. Can't help thinking: chicken or egg? Looks to me like the artist got HIS/HER inspiration from your quilts!

Finally a chance to catch up on blog reading and I have to agree, I love that city on the right hand side of the page. It would look fabulous translated to fabric in hand dyes...

The village is a magnificent piece of work Joyce. I like the picture on the left of your book - it looks like night-time. The colours are fantastic. So vibrant. I miss doing my cross stitch but I seem to be able only to keep up with one hobby at the moment!

WOW!!!!!! I seemed to have lost you for awhile. You have been busy. I like your quilt. Very charming. The fire in the snow reminds me of when I was a kid. We would make a big fire, sled, and have a winner roast along with hot chocolate. What great memories.
