Australian Games

I finished this one this morning. For some reason it's not my favorite but I'm not sure what I would change. I have more Australian fabrics that I haven't used yet so maybe I'll try again.

Brown is a nuetral so it probably has the best chance of fitting in a decorating spot. You have a good balance of light/medium/dark on this one and just a splash of color for interest. when I first looked at it, it reminded me of a cuckoo clock with the chains that hang from it.

I like this one but it doesn't 'grab' me, I think because of the colors. When I clicked to enlarge the photo, I see I like the fabrics a lot. I think it's nicelyn dangled and chopped. Looks good.

I like the shape of it, the lines work well for me in the smaller parts and over all sticking out and hanging down shapes and all the extra embellishments too. the colors are great a good balance of brights and darks/mediums.
I never really think this out when I am creating, I just let it happen and trust and it usually does. Yours did too.

I wonder if it's the color that puts you off of this one. I like it a lot... and I'm not even a 'brown's person!

I think it is a very clever piece. Maybe a little of the lime accent on the bottom left hand side would give it a bit more zing??
