This morning I quilted the kaleidoscope. I have been waiting until I found/made a back that I liked.

Here is the back. It is a strip of the original Japanese fabric and two strips of hand dyed fabric. I have been practising on fat quarters until I found a color that is close to one of the pinks in the original fabric. I think I got fairly close.

looks wonderful. Well worth the wait to get the right dye batch.
Great back for a terrific quilt.
Nice choices! I really like your quilt. Those are so much fun to make!
Pretty quilt top, and pretty backing too. Reversible?
Ooooo back to the kaleidoscope! 8-)
Your hand-dyed goes really well with your print...

Gorgeous quilt!!!
Happy Easter to you and your family too
That is perfect backing for your quilt.
Absolutely striking. A piece of ART. Your choice of backing, Japanese print and dyed complement, is so right. I missed your start so I went back to your original entry. Oh to have a permanent design wall.
What a great quilt. That pink is fabulous with the beautiful print.
This is "you've got to enter this in a big quilt show" gorgeous! :-)
