Another New Bag

I am at a bit of a standstill with my duvet cover because I think the part I have done with the stars is too small. It is only about 56 inches square and it needs to be about 85 inches square to fit the duvet. I think that borders that wide would dwarf the center piece too much. I may just call this one a lap quilt and start something else for the duvet cover. This time I will do a bit of planning and maybe buy some new fabric for it. Right now I am looking through my books and magazines to see what I want to do. I don't want a lot of small pieces and angled seams because it is going to be washed very often and the fewer seams the better.

Meanwhile, a person has to sew something so I made another bag. This time I used a set of gradated colors that I dyed awhile back. I like the look of it quite a lot.
Simba is feeling much, much better now. He will be going to live with his real owners very soon. We will miss him when he is gone!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the gradated colors in this one! Soft, pretty, feminine, what's not to love? And new fabic for the duvet -- any excuse for fabric shopping is a good one!

What gorgeous colours you've used in the bag. It's a great pattern, and one that lends itself to loads of different fabrics.

The graduated colours are very pretty with this bag pattern. You must be able to whip those bags up in 15 minutes with your eyes closed by now - LOL

Good to hear Simba is all better. I'm sure you will miss him, it doesn't take long to get used to having a dog around. Always someone to talk to when you have a dog :))

Gorgeous graduated colours and I love the style.

Bought loads of white fabric yesterday at the fabric warehouse. Now all i've got to do is buy the dye, some rubber gloves and we are off. Watch this space LOL.

That bag is gorgeous Joyce! Are you buying new outfits to go with them all?

Glad to hear Simba's 'legpit' is on the mend!

Hi Simba, Glad you are getting better.

Another lovely bag! I am going to try one in bigger squares, then maybe smaller squares.

Your bag is the perfect showcase for your gradated fabrics! I think this would be my favorite. Love the handles!

Simba sure has become a big part of your life. I've enjoyed hearing about your hikes and seeing pics of him, playing in the snow drifts.... What a good guy!

The more I see of those bags, the more I realise I am going to have to make one! Those colours are just fabulous.
Do you think you will get a dog the same breed as Simba? You will miss him.
