The sourdough was a complete flop. I think I was too hasty and didn't leave the starter long enough. The bread just sat there and became sticky paste. I tossed it and will try again later. Instead I made these Sweet Potato Dinner Rolls. They are a beautiful golden color from the sweet potatoes, slightly sweet and very, very tasty. I'll be making them again for sure.
On the quilting front, I am working away on the Stack a Deck on that is on the frame, so nothing interesting to post there.

Your rolls look fabulous!
Oh. My. Goodness. I didn't hear a single thing that you just said.
lol Is it a recipe that you'd care to share, Joyce? They look divine! And I'll bet that the sourdough is hardly missed with these in the house.
Stay warm!
ditto on the sharing request -- these look and sound divine!
Those dinner buns look lovely any chance of the recipe?
Those look great. Can you share the recipe? Love anything sweet potato.
I don't like to put the recipe up on my blog because they are trying to sell cookbooks and it feels like cheating. Maybe there are copyright issues. If you write to me personally I'll share it with you. If you are no-reply I can't get in touch with you.
No shame in that. Those rolls look good. By coincidence, I am making jambalaya and sweet potato biscuits today for dinner:)
My library will order in just about any book you want to look at - including cookbooks. I love that! Your rolls look good. With sourdough - if you don't have a starter that you keep on hand - then you need to make it 1 week before you plan to make bread. Make some extra and use the extra to "feed" the starter. Make double starter if you are planning on making more than 1 loaf at a time. Yes - it smells! Cheers! Evelyn
Those rolls look Fabulous! I must admit, the Sourdough did not really look appealing! Lol!
I didn't hear a single thing that you just said.
