This is the view out our front door. You will notice the door handle at the bottom of the picture . That will give you an idea how deep the snow is. During the weekend snow collected on the roof and slid off onto the deck. Today it's blowing over the house and collecting on the deck. Good thing we use the back door. We'll wait for Mr. Sun to do the shoveling work for us.
It is a perfect day for quilting if I can make it to the studio through this blizzard.

Keep warm and snuggled up Joyce! It's blowing like mad here in 'the city' too. My kids were mad that school wasn't canceled for them, LOL
I hope that isn't the storm that is headed our way!
wow that is a lot of snow. I bet you are pleased to have fabric and wadding around not only to keep you busy but to also keep you warm!
Ooooh...stay safe!
Our school was cancelled today. And I made the executive decision to save electricity and not use the quilt machine. I worry -- with much of the state being without power due to snapped powerlines -- that I would be quilting along and then boom...no power. That's happened before and it's not fun...scary in fact!
So instead...I'm doing some much needed blogging catch-up and book work. (More blogging...but who's keeping track?)
Enjoy your day, Joyce! And use the buddy system when trekking out in this! ;-)
Wow! I hope it keeps blowing off the deck. Shoveling the deck is the worst. We have to do it so we can get to the roof to clean that off! Our snow has melted actually; we've got a few flakes, but aren't supposed to get much.
It sure is a perfect quilting day!
Good heavens!
Yup! A perfect day to stay in... unless of course one needs to walk to their studio! lol! I hope you were able to get there without stumbling through drifts! 8-)
That's a lot of snow! Stay cozy quilting.
Oh boy! I just found your fabulous blog and thought...she must be Canadian heh! Yep, there you are and here I am in Ontario, waiting for the weather to get here in the next couple of days.
Your photo is so lovely to look at, glad you are in Manitoba!
That snow should stay till spring I would imagine.
regards, from Ontario.
I won't complain about the four inches I had to shovel the other day...my gosh, that's a lot of snow!
Holy Moly!!! That's alot of snow!
Oh my .... I guess you don't want to hear that we have just a dusting on the ground right now here in Toronto ......
Oh my! Now that's a proper snow. Enjoy your sewing time!
