A Totally Different Finish

I took Wanda's advice and got rid of the black narrow border and then I was able to use a darker wide border. I would have liked the bright yellow as the inner border but there was almost none of it left. The wide border used up nearly all of that fabric which has been sitting in my stash for some time.

it works. The bright colours in the sashing make me smile, and the border does a great job of picking up many of those colours...

Hey Joyce!
I wasn't up to leaving comments yesterday, but I am glad someone made the suggestion that I was thinking. This change looks much better! Looks great! ... You just whip these things together so darn quick! Wow! 8-)

Congrats on a finish! Looks like you've had a confounding week. Hope you find solutions to your other dilemmas too!

I agree that the yellow would have looked striking, but I like the red as well...

I'm glad I finally decided to make a tour of the Liberated ring just so I would see this! I've been collecting b&w prints for years. I love this idea for using them!

And my, aren't you productive!
