Stack a Deck

This Stack a Deck quilt from Karla Alexander's book has been waiting for ages for its turn on the quilting machine. I got it loaded this morning but haven't decided how I want to quilt it or what color of thread I'll use. The back is white with black circles so it will probably be black or white. I think it's time to move beyond my usual meander or loops but to what? I'll think on it for a bit before I start quilting.

Hearts and Swirls? I actually don't know diddly about these things but I do like the quilt and it's neat to see your set up!

Good luck with the quilting. It seems your New Year is off to a wonderful start! Happy 2010.

If you leave it out where you can see it, it will eventually tell you what it wants! Sounds crazy but it's true.

I always like the loops, swirls, and vines. There are a lot of right angles and straight lines there-Could be a nice counterpoint to that.

Yes, I have to agree with Barb: if you leave it out it will eventually speak to you! I too love seeing your set up for quilting.

Stay Warm Dear Heart!

I find trying to decide what to quilt on a quilt one of the hardesst things. I'm whatever you decide will be lovely.

That is one of my challenges, next to "doing" the quilting itself, choosing the right colored thread...
I look forward to seeing what you've decide for that quilt... 8-)

For quilts that are going to be used, I think simple designs are the best. Then, the quilt gets done and you can move on to other ideas. How about some soft wavy lines going across the width of the piece?

I can already tell I like the quilt!
