Audition # 2

Here is audition number 2. I like the orange. I think it can hold it's own and it really brightens the whole thing up (as if it needs to be brighter!)
I tried the pink with black dots in the spirit of fungly, because pink and orange are not supposed to go together, or at least that's what I've been told. The white with black dots is probably too light. I might be better with the black one with multi-colored dots from the previous audition.
Stay tuned though, because the roles have not been assigned yet. There may still be more auditions.

I vote for the orange! The floral gets lost in the busy-ness of the quilt while the orange brings it's own presence to the quilty party.

The orange is fabulous -- I really like it a lot. As odd as it sounds, that bright color is a resting place for the eye in this quilt. It helps to reign in the chaos. Just because the quilt is fungly, not all design principles need to go out the window!

I love the orange! I stumbled onto your blog from Quilt Mavericks. I am basically a beginning quilter too. I have yet to post quilts on my blog, but I think I should. Some are pretty good if I do say so myself. Basically, I wanted to comment on your "About Me" comments. Skid in sideways! I love it!!!

Yes, I think you've got a winner there with the orange. And the pink? PERFECT. Of course, the cow fabric isn't in there, but that just gives you a jumping-off point for another quilt!

I think I'm out of my depth here....but the collaboative quilters would be proud of you.

There aren't too many yuk fabrics in there...it's just bright!

I'm working on a tiny girl sized backet bag....ahh the bags have got me again!
