Scrappy

This morning I put the borders on the scrappy quilt. I'll probably bind it with black. I'm not sure about the very diagonal block on the upper left but, following the fungly rules, I didn't change it.

I also sewed the binding on the Fungly quilt but I'll show it when I've sewn it down. (Don't hold your breath!) I used a green and purple fungly fabric for the binding.

It was about this time last year that we saw all the Monarch butterflies. Last year's pictures were taken on Aug 7th so they are a week later already. We have been going to the same spot every day for a week but so far we've only seen a few. We are still hoping.

I love it. The borders really look good. I hope to one day have enough scraps for a scrappy quilt. They are a favorite of mine. What size did it turn out?

I was going to ask the same thing as Sunny. How big is it? How big are your block? I still have 40 or so crumb blocks waiting to be put together -- I want to make it big enough for a MCC donation quilt -- which is 60 by 80. And I love the bw borders on both this on and the fungly quilt. are you going to take a break from quilting considering the hot forecast?

The Scrappy looks great Joyce! If that diagonal block keeps jumping out at ya, and it bothers you, try a little applique on it. May take the distraction of it away... Just a thought! 8-)
Happy stitchings!

LOVE the diagonal block -- leave it in. This turned out just gungly, wongy, fonky, wongly??? -- just fine! The black binding is a perfect finish.

it turned out wonderfully! I love how the B&W frames it all without feeling like a hard edge.
