With the Border

I have made a few more star blocks. I'm too impatient to wait for the rulers. I couldn't wait to see how they will look with the borders either. I changed the stars a bit. The first one was made with each point different. I think it looks better with them all the same. The first one has hit the parts drawer and will probably end up as part of a bag some day.

love hoe the stars are turning out. The borders feel "heavy" though I like the fabric...

That border fabric is fabulous! After reading what Quilt Pixie said, I had another look. I think the small inner border may be a bit dark, but I like the outer one with those fabrics. Sometimes it's hard to tell in a photos. Your stars are great! It's going to be a wonderful quilt. I really like that you're using a variety of creams in the background.

Love it . . . I think I like the star points all the same, too *s*

This is lovely - I really like the colors you've chose and the pattern makes quite the impression. I think QuiltPixie is right about your border audition, though.

Joyce - I really don't know how you do it. I haven't got the patience to do something like that. I agree with Cheri. The inner border is too dark.

When I saw this quilt pattern, I wanted to make it as well - now, seeing yours coming together, I'm moving this one to the top of my 2009 list. In terms of the borders, I agree with Quilt Pixi ie both borders appear on the heavy side.

So far so good Joyce! Looks great! Hard to believe they are such small blocks when all we see are the photos... 7.5 inches!!! Wow!!! Tiny works!
Great job! 8-)
Happy stitchings...

These stars are beautiful. You obviously don't need the rulers as you are doing wonderfully without them.
