New Nine Patch

I have started an on point nine patch from a kit. This is my first experience with a kit. I hope I don't make any serious errors in cutting. If I do though, I could probably get some similar fabric locally so I'm not too stressed out. It's quite scrappy so lots of fabrics would do. So far no big mistakes. There are 18 nine patches so it's coming right along. It will be a couch quilt so it shouldn't take long to put it together.

It's amazine how striking a simple 9-patch can be. This is going to be a really nice quilt!

I like the effect of the striped fabrics in there. I think kits are an advantage when they have a variety of fabrics because you don't always have everything for a project that you like, but might not otherwise make. I bought a kit for that reason recently that's going to be a leaders and enders project before long.

Wow Joyce,
YOu are on a quilting roll- and what nice work you are creating- I love the beautiful brown quilt that you just finished and the new 9 patch is going to be just fabulous when it is done.
I have a couple of quilt kits that are waiting in the wings - I generally like to put my own fabrics together but I loved the fabrics so much in both of the kits that I bought the kits..
Enjoy your time at the machine..
Regards,
Anna

Nice, Joyce. I've been making sampler blocks for instruction and hope to put them together using a split-rail, nine-patch sashing... sort of like this only bigger blocks in the middle. I wondered what it would look like and this gives me a good idea.

thank you!
