I finished piecing the wall hanging and quilted and backed it. I spent some time sewing on beads and dangles. I moved the black tassel from the right and cut off one of the mauve pompoms. It was too squished to the side. I wish I had two more of the black teardrop beads. I'll have to take those off and put something else on I think. Adding the decorations at the end is half the fun of this style of quilting. I have a big cache of thrift shop beads, necklaces and trims that come in very handy when I start doing this job.

I like it very much! I've never done any real embellishment, but one of these days. I am already kicking myself for getting rid of all that crazy costume jewelry my kids used to play with.
Funny, I just realized that as I looked at this I was thinking "Japanese warrior jacket." I'm sure that's not what you meant, but the mind seems to want to turn everything into something familiar.
You are just so darn quick! I really like how this turned out. And yes, embellishing is almost the most fun!
Oh wow Joyce - I like it! Good idea using thrifted necklaces too.
What a fun piece - I really like this!
Love the finished quilt...I so would like to embellish a quilt sometime. It is very vibrant.
My goodness - how I admire your stick-to-it-ness! Working and reworking until you have your project just right - I am envious! This has turned out so interesting - totally different than any other person's project. You ARE an artist!
that is fun and a very unusual outline.
